Vegetable Gardens
We are completely spoiled from having a diet of heirloom varieties of vegetables picked minutes before eating. We are constantly trialing new vegetable varieties. We look for exquisite taste and climate resilience when we trial a new variety. We've noticed a lot of change in our climate patterns here and we expect that to continue so we focus on varieties that do well in cool moist growing seasons as well as seasons of heat and drought. When we can't find a variety that thrives in both we choose to plant multiple varieties that produce well in one or the other extreme. If you'd like to learn more skills to improve your ability to provide food resilience within your life you may choose this area of study during a farmstay.
