Chickens

We have a small laying flock of hens with their handsome rooster. They have a small woodland hillside to roam all summer and a safe coop at night down at the small barn.
We do like beauty here so we choose to have some hens that lay green and blue colored eggs to add to the toasty-colored brown eggs of the rest of the flock.

We feed organic grains and chicken feed as well as non-organic black oil sunflower seeds for extra fat during our cold winters. The sunflower seeds are not genetically engineered.
